Responsible for planning, controlling, and overseeing the overall yard operations, ensuring continuous yard integrity.
Ensure daily yard operations are carried out efficiently to achieve optimal productivity and operational performance.
Support the delivery of agreed service levels to customers in terms of efficiency, productivity, and reliability, in line with terminal standards.
Maintain an effective yard setup that supports terminal operations in achieving target Gross Moves Per Hour (GMPH) for quay crane activities and optimal truck turnaround time.
Continuously review and optimise yard layout and space utilisation to meet operational demands.
Monitor and fine-tune the Terminal Operating System (TOS) to ensure yard planning aligns with operational strategies and requirements.
Prepare daily yard work plans and communicate equipment positioning and operational instructions to relevant personnel.
Comply with all safety regulations within the terminal area and proactively address any non-compliance observed on site.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Requirements
Physically and medically fit, with normal colour vision and good eyesight.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Transportation, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of container terminal operations and yard planning activities is an added advantage.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office); familiarity with terminal operating systems (TOS) will be an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate yard activities efficiently.
Resourceful, well-organised, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders.
Able to work on shift schedules, including weekends and Public Holidays.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic operational environment.
