Job Description

Job Purpose :

Responsible for the management and reporting of financial information, analysing data, preparing financial reports, accounting records, budgets, tax returns, payroll, administrative, corporate secretarial, legal documentations, and property related matters.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Organise accounting records such as registers, ledgers, journals and individual accounts;
  • Review and verify all types of payments;
  • Evaluate and reconcile diverse financial operations, inspect and confirm source documents to affirm commitments and post suitable records;
  • Accrue journals and balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Manage schedules financial statements and reports, schedule of statutory payments;
  • Organise source documents, files and other account affiliated information;
  • Organise all routine registers, manage the budget and carry out analysis on all data;
  • Maintain relevant spreadsheets, online databases and all accounting software;
  • Organise journal entries, perform analysis on account records and reconcile statements for month ending;
  • Supervise invoices and keep contract filing system up to date;
  • Perform proper maintenance of all end-of-year records;
  • Undertake audits as directed;
  • Maintain technical knowledge of accounting, tax, payroll policies and regulations;
  • Assist with tax returns, prepare estimated tax computation for month 6,9 and 11, attend to queries of LHDNM and tax agents;
  • Assist with payroll and all statutory payments such as EPF, Socso & EIS, PCB payment, EA forms, annual Form E submission and all employer related matters;
  • Liaise with Company Secretary on statutory requirements;
  • Liaise with legal advisor on all related matters;
  • Liaise with Bankers on all statutory documentations in compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia policies;
  • General office administrative functions, observe the office maintenance and report to building maintenance team of any issues; attend to issues related to rented properties;
  • Assist on personal matters of Directors and their family related matters.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy Or Finance;
  • At least 5 years experiences in Accounting, handle full set of accounts;
  • Experience in handling personal and corporate tax;
  • Familiar with Income Tax Act 1967 and Labuan Business Activity Tax Act
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, familiar with SQL accounting software will be an added advantage;
