- Job Title: Accountant
- Report To: Managing Director
- Subordinates: As per organization chart
- Responsibilities:
- Provide overall financial accounting support to Finance Manager.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of receipts, payments, journal vouchers, accounting entries, costing etc.
- Ensure a proper valuation of product costing & inventory.
- To assist in setting up and maintaining internal control systems, financial policies & procedures.
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and periodic financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards & corporate guidelines.
- Assist the Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets, planning cash flow, forecasting and analyzing expenses.
- Plan, review and develop reports to meet management needs.
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, company secretaries, lawyers, tax agents, government authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Proper maintenance of tax records.
- Debtors collection and review of new customer credit application.
- Cash flow planning for optimum usage of available funds and banking facilities.
- Supervise and train a team of accounting staff.
- Any duties assigned by the management from time to time.
- Authority:
- To approve inventory adjustments.
- To approve sales order/delivery order for customers that exceed credit limit.
- To review and approve invoice/DN/CN issuance.
- To release payment authorised by management.
- Approve petty cash purchases (Monthly limit RM 1500)
- Approve subordinates leave application and OT
- Approve payment vouchers, journal entry, issuance of management report
- To initiate & review ISO related document
- Qualification &Experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in handling full set account, financial accounting and financial management.
- Preferably an Accredited Accountant with manufacturing industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
- Additional information:
Working location : Kapar,Klang
Working Hours : 8.30am to 5.30pm ( Monday to Friday)
This position may require to work beyond normal working hours.
