1. JOB OBJECTIVE
1.1 To lead the Group's financial reporting, consolidation and tax compliance functions in accordance
with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, ensuring full adherence to statutory
requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
1.2 The role serves as a key guardian of financial integrity, supports audit and governance processes and
contributes to the Group's sustainability (ESG) reporting and internal control framework.
2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
2.1 Group Financial Reporting
Review management accounts for subsidiaries including overseas subsidiaries and analyse financial performance across all operating segments.
Prepare quarterly group consolidation accounts, management reports for board meetings, annual report and AGM documentation.
Liaise with internal and external auditors on statutory audit matters including finalisation of statutory financial statements.
Prepare quarterly forecast and provide variance analysis to support management decision-making.
Ensure proper set-up, implementation and maintenance of accounting system and records to comply with the Group's accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Ensure group financial reporting and consolidation are prepared in compliance with MFRS/IFRS, including assessment of new or revised accounting standards and evaluation of their financial impact on the Group.
2.2 Tax Governance & Compliance
Direct Tax
Manage the full spectrum of corporate tax matters for local and overseas entities, including preparation of tax computations, management of deferred tax assets/liabilities and coordination with tax agents and authorities.
Indirect Tax
Manage indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including SST, withholding tax, stamp duty, transfer pricing documentation and e-invoicing requirements.
Incentives
Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with tax incentives such as Pioneer Status, Investment Tax Allowances or other government incentives.
2.3 Sustainability (ESG) & Internal Controls
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Group's ESG reporting framework and contribute to improvements in sustainability and integrated reporting disclosures.
Lead the coordination, collection, validation and consolidation of ESG-related data across business units and subsidiaries, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Review and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risk and improve audit outcomes.
2.4 Others
Supervise, train and monitor the daily tasks of accounting staff.
Undertake other ad-hoc assignments as required by management.
3. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in group reporting/consolidation and exposure to Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements.
Preferably at least 3 years of audit or tax experience.
Experience or exposure to ESG reporting or sustainability related initiatives is an added advantage.
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations and sustainability reporting requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently, possess problem-solving skills, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
