Accounts Executive

Company Description

We are an accounting and advisory firm with a strong focus on the F&B sector, and we're expanding our team. We're looking for an Accounts Executive who can independently manage full sets of accounts for our clients — serving as a trusted partner in their financial operations.

What You'll Do

• Manage full sets of accounts (AP, AR, General Ledger, bank reconciliation) for a portfolio of clients
• Prepare, post, and document journal entries with accuracy and complete audit trails
• Execute month-end closing and ensure timely delivery of client reports
• Maintain fixed asset registers and monthly depreciation schedules
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for client review
• Manage clients billing, collections, payment processing, and reconciliations
• Prepare and submit SST filings accurately and on schedule
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents; prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Support ad-hoc reporting and daily finance operations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, MICPA, or equivalent) are an advantage
• 3–5 years of full-set accounting experience — audit or accounting-firm background preferred
• Solid grounding in double-entry accounting — this matters most to us. Familiarity with any accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, Xero, Bukku, etc.) is sufficient; software can be taught, fundamentals and attitude cannot
• Able to manage multiple clients and hold your own deadlines independently
• Familiar with SST and local statutory compliance
• Exposure to e-Invoicing is an advantage
• Meticulous, self-driven, and responsible — the right work ethic is the quality we value most
• Preferably able to speak and read Chinese (to serve our Chinese-speaking clients)

RM4,500 - RM6,500 per month
