Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
i. Responsible for carrying out routine and non-routine aircraft technical handling and defects rectification.
ii. To undertake the servicing, maintenance and technical handling of aircraft in accordance to company and CAAM approved methods and procedures.

Qualifications:
i. As per MOE Part 3.8 requirements (for non-CS)

Specific Functions:
i. To perform ground technical handling, routine and non-routine maintenance and servicing check and any other maintenance activities as required on the aircraft.
ii. To assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers to perform maintenance activities through efficient retrieval/interpretation of aircraft maintenance documents and interphase with the system in raising paperwork, clocking manhours and ordering spares.
iii. To be accountable for clocked manhours of tasks.
iv. To ensure the tasks given are completed within the time frame and to inform immediate superior for any problem or difficulties.
v. Ensure possession of adequate tools and equipment and good housekeeping of zone/work area for performing maintenance activities.
vi. To have a clear understanding of regulations and policy governing the maintenance of aircraft at Base Maintenance Services Department.
vii. To prepare the accident/incident and/or occurrence report of any accident/incident and submit the report to the immediate superior.
viii. To raise Equipment Defect Report for any discrepancy of defect on ground equipment used on the aircraft.
ix. To maintain good time keeping and disciplines.
x. To carry out housekeeping at the working area after completion of any task.
xi. To maintain a high level of cleanliness in the working areas, office, crew room and holding room.
xii. To ensure equipment, property and facilities are regularly maintained and associated records are kept.
xiii. To ensure all motorized vehicles allocated to the Base Maintenance Services Department is properly utilized and monitors the usage and condition.
xiv. To ensure all maintenance inventories such as tooling and equipment are well- maintained in a clean and proper working/serviceable conditions.
xv. Ensure all parts/spares taken from designated stores are recorded and to inspect the items for general condition before taken out of the store.
xvi. Obtain Airside Driving Permit from the relevant airport authorities.

xviii. Attend scheduled or standby backup as required to support maintenance operations.
xix. Any other task assigned by LEO / LAE.
