We are an innovative FMCG distribution business with logistics assets across the region. As our business scales to meet customer demand, we are looking for a candidate who is able to work with our regional and local teams on operational activities centered around data, processes and finance. The goal is to enable our business model to grow speedily and sustainably.
Job Requirements
- Lead the overall demand and supply plan and ensure that the forecast is accurate at all times and regularly review and update the forecast to reflect any changes.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase demand forecast accuracy. This may include developing new forecasting methodologies or tools, improving data accuracy and completeness, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and incorporate relevant data and insights.
- Collaborate with the various strategic and commercial teams by providing insight on an overall supply chain planning perspective and working with the team to develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory levels and mitigate risk.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers. This includes negotiating contracts and pricing, managing supplier performance and quality, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Help ensure the achievement of pre-agreed inventory target levels. This includes monitoring inventory levels, identifying and addressing any imbalances or shortages, and working with the team to implement inventory management processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with developing and implementing a supply chain strategy to support business growth. Which includes identifying new opportunities for efficiency and cost savings, developing and implementing processes for managing and optimizing the flow of goods, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute on the strategy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in regards to stock health, returns, and best practices of the business unit's supply chain, staying up-to-date on industry trends and development.
- This is a key role that will have a significant impact in supporting the growth of a regional scale-up. The ideal candidate is someone who has a Supply Chain background, is quick to think on their feet, and able to contribute to strategically growing a business.
Education & Skills Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years in relevant role.
- Preferred experience in: Logistics, FMCG Supply Chain, Operations.
