Position: Assistant Brand Manager Marketing
Location: Kajang, Selangor
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Brand & Marketing Planning
- Develop and execute brand strategies to achieve business targets, including market share, sales growth, and profitability.
- Translate brand vision into actionable marketing and sales plans.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Define product strategy, positioning, and pricing in line with the company's goals.
- Oversee integrated marketing campaigns, including product launches, promotions, and brand-building activities.
- Ensure brand messaging aligns with company positioning and resonates with target audiences.
- Analyse consumer feedback and market performance to refine brand strategies.
- Collaborate on developing packaging, promotional materials, and in-store displays.
- Manage media, digital marketing, and influencer collaborations to enhance visibility.
- Identify investment priorities and manage brand budgets efficiently.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to boost brand engagement, awareness, and lead generation.
- Plan and execute influencer activations and campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and KPIs.
- Develop advertorial content and press releases to support product and brand awareness.
- Coordinate the design and production of POSM for effective in-store marketing.
- Plan and manage promotional events, roadshows, and activations to increase brand engagement.
- Ensure optimal product placement through effective planogram implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute promotional activities.
2. Product & NPD Management
- Support product development by providing insights from market research and consumer feedback.
- Identify product gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for innovation.
- Monitor product lifecycle, from launch to performance tracking and eventual phase-out.
- Collaborate with R&D, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product rollouts.
- Analyze product performance and recommend improvements for market fit and growth.
Requirements:
- Self-starter with an interest in innovation and marketing/branding, ability to multitask, proficiency in operations/execution tasks, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaboration Spirit and Positive Attitude – Hungry to win spirit.
- Proficient in English and Malay. Knowledge of Chinese (written and spoken) is an added advantage.
- Agency Liaison – Ability to liaise and drive projects with multiple agencies (media, creative, research, advertising), ensuring on-ground activation of all events/campaigns by the plan.
- Good Written and Oral Communication – Capable of briefing agencies and selling ideas to key stakeholders.
- Data Analysis – Able to drill data from internal system/Nielsen and draw insights from data.
- Exposure to FMCG marketing/brand departments/teams is an added advantage.
- Able to collaborate with brand teams, external agencies, and cross-functional departments to achieve set tasks and KPIs. Flexible and willing to learn on the job.
- Able to work hand-in-hand with the brand team to support brand activities, campaigns, and operational follow-up to ensure smooth and successful execution.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years in brand or product management (FMCG experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
