Assistant Facilities Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage facilities operations, maintenance activities, and service delivery at the assigned site.
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure high service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Oversee engineers, technical officers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
  • Plan and manage maintenance works, rectifications, asset improvements, and major repair projects.
  • Prepare budgets, reports, tender specifications, audits, and contractor performance evaluations.
  • Monitor project costs, certify contractor payments, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with operational, statutory, and safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance building performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely in accordance with WSH policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of building services, M&E systems, and facilities operations.
  • Proven experience managing teams, contractors, budgets, and maintenance projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused with strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
