Assistant Finance Manager

Our client is a growing organisation with multiple business entities and is looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support its finance operations, reporting and business growth.

Financial Reporting & Group Finance

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
  
• Support group consolidation and review accounting treatments to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
  

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and preparation of rolling forecasts.
  
• Prepare financial analysis, variance analysis and basic financial modelling to support business planning.
  
• Monitor expenses and identify areas for cost control and operational improvement.
  
• Provide financial information and insights to support management and business initiatives.
  

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Assist in preparing and monitoring cash-flow forecasts.
  
• Monitor daily cash flow, supplier payments and working capital requirements.
  
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on routine banking matters.
  
• Support the Finance Manager in managing the Group's banking and cash management activities.
  

Tax, Audit & Compliance

• Assist in overseeing tax compliance, including tax computations, estimates and submissions.
  
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide the necessary schedules and supporting documents for year-end audit.
  
• Ensure statutory and financial reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  
• Maintain proper finance, corporate and statutory documentation.
  

Finance Operations & Team Support

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations for assigned entities.
  
• Review accounting work and ensure proper maintenance of accounting records.
  
• Assist in improving finance processes, systems and internal controls.
  
• Supervise, coach and provide guidance to junior members of the Finance team.
  
• Work closely with other departments and management on finance-related matters.
  
• Support the Finance Manager in various financial projects and business initiatives.
  
  

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  
• Candidates currently at Senior Accountant / Senior Executive / Assistant Finance Manager level are welcome to apply.
  
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and audit coordination.
  
• Experience in group consolidation and managing accounts for multiple entities will be an advantage.
  
• Good understanding of tax and statutory compliance.
  
• Strong Excel and accounting-system skills.
  
• Candidates from Property Development, Construction, F&B, Retail or other project-based industries are welcome.
  
• Good analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of assigned finance matters.
