About You
You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Category Management and will play a
key role in driving Carsome Certified's business goals through end to end ownership of
smart category planning, pricing, and execution. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead
and manage multiple projects, from strategy design to execution and working closely
with teams across Marketing, Operations, Commercial Strategy, and Product to achieve
business objectives. You're someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving
environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and adapts quickly to
change. You are agile, commercially sharp, analytical, and open to constructive
feedback, always seeking ways to improve and deliver better results.
Your Day-to-Day
- Lead and execute category projects from planning, analysis, and strategy development to implementation and performance tracking.
- Develop, refine, and execute category management frameworks that optimize supply (inventory sourcing and distribution) and demand (pricing and campaigns).
- Drive business KPIs such as speed of sale, margin, profitability, and market competitiveness through actionable strategies.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on inventory performance, pricing trends, and campaign effectiveness; translate data into insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Commercial Strategy, and Operations to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Champion data-driven decision making to build and enhance reporting dashboards, analytical tools, and models for ongoing performance monitoring.
- Identify market opportunities by studying web traffic, search data, and buyer behavior, then work with internal teams to design demand-driving campaigns or new product offerings.
- Continuously improve the category management process by identifying operational pain points and proposing system or process enhancements.
Your Know-How
- Min 4 years of working experience in commercial or management consulting.
- Bachelor's Degree is required with specialization in business, economics,
- mathematics and engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong business acumen.
- Proficiency with Excel is a must. Having the knowledge in SQL, Tableau,
- Power BI will be plus point
- A self-starter, ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
