Job Purpose
Assist in driving alignment and optimisation of the Group Islamic Banking business within CIMB Group for:
- performance management, management reporting, strategy planning and execution
- recruitment, manpower planning, and employee engagement management
- project management of CIMB Group and CIMB Islamic projects and initiatives by effectively managing all assigned projects and accompanying deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Assist in the planning, adoption and execution of plans of Group Islamic Banking Division, which involves strategies from all business segments (i.e. Consumer Banking, Wholesale Banking, Commercial Banking, and Transaction Banking).
- Assist in the development and management of Group Islamic Banking's strategy Programme as part of the Group's strategic plans
- Secretariat management for Islamic Banking Business Review Committee, Group Islamic Banking Committee and Forward30 Programme Steering Committee
- Assist in providing updates on relevant issues and other matters brought to management attention.
Content Development and Management
- Assist in coordinating and finalizing content for CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad Financial Statements and other periodic entity reporting.
- Assist in developing all Group Islamic Banking Division written content deliverables as per guidance from the central marketing & communications team.
- Assist in preparing internal and external business updates on behalf of the CEO of CIMB Islamic and Group Islamic Banking.
Business Performance and Management Reporting
- Assist in preparing business performance and management reporting for regional Group Islamic Banking and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad.
- Responsible to ensure timely and effective service to the relevant business units within the division including meeting their needs and providing professional and sound advice whilst being mindful of the Group's interest.
Mobilisation of Group resources to support Islamic growth strategy
- facilitate recruitment and manpower planning for GIB as a whole
- Assist in monitoring performance management, KPI alignment and adoption for CIMB's Islamic business
- Assist in managing communications content and activities to support employee engagement initiatives
- Liaison for Group BE functions-GHR, Strategy, CX, Finance, Digital, Sustainability and others
- Assist in annual budgeting process and adoption
- Help monitor operating expenditure of Group Islamic Banking
- Any other responsibilities / task as assigned by management from time to time
Relevant Work Experience
- Working experience in strategy planning, banking & finance, analytics or Islamic banking, will be an added advantage.
