Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager, IT Sourcing & Procurement to join our Procurement team. This role offers excellent career exposure and strong growth potential for a professional capable of supporting end-to-end IT strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maximizing value for money across bank-wide spending on IT-related equipment, products, services, and solutions.
The successful candidate will report to the Section Head, IT Sourcing & Procurement.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Support the Section Head in the end-to-end IT strategic sourcing, procurement, contract, and vendor management process.
- Develop excellent and effective collaborative long-term relationships with key stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the strategic and operational needs of the Bank are supported.
- Analyze industry and emerging market trends to proactively identify supply base issues, minimize IT procurement and contract risk, and protect continuity of supply.
- Create a competitive environment by implementing effective sourcing and procurement strategies, including competitive bids, tenders, and creative negotiations.
- Conduct IT product/solutions/services and market research to obtain the best offerings based on quality, price, and fulfillment turnaround.
- Drive IT sourcing best practices by keeping abreast of innovative, efficient, and cost-effective ways to improve current work processes.
- Facilitate vendor evaluations and assessments to minimize contract risk while ensuring seamless availability of IT services to support the Bank's strategic objectives.
- Act as an Appointed ORR, managing operational risks and serving as an intermediary between Operational Risk Management (ORM) and the department.
- Support the Division/Department Head in leading, coordinating, and completing operational risk management activities, including the submission of key reports.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or Master's Degree in IT, Finance/Accounting/Banking, Economics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or a relevant equivalent supply-chain qualification.
Experience/Requirements
2 to 4 years of working experience in IT-related or IT-sourcing/procurement/contract-related industry.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with using e-procurement systems and spend analytics tools as part of duties deliverance.
Strong communication (both verbal and written) and stakeholder management capabilities.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and independent with the ability to multi-task while delivering results.
