What would you do

• Draft, review and negotiate independently a myriad of agreements including services agreement, collaboration agreement, technology agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, brand partnership agreements, entered into by the Company, or any legal documents related to product or services offered by the Company.
• Identity, anticipate and manage legal risks, legal documentation and/or communication in respect of all of the business activities undertaken by the Company, including intellectual property protection and enforcement matters.
• Provide business-oriented and consistent legal supports to all internal stakeholders to operationalize overall business and corporate strategy of the Company.
• Review and implement policies and processes in respect contract life cycle management and enhancement, intellectual property management, and continuous process enhancement.
• Educate internal stakeholders on relevant laws and regulations affecting the Company's businesses and operations including intellectual property, consumer protection, privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the Company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing arrangements, brand protection initiatives, and coordination with external counsel on IP registration, enforcement and dispute matters.
• Handle litigation and/or disputes related matters of the Company.
• Instruct external counsel and manage legal costs.
• Undertake any ad hoc requests as may be assigned by Head of Legal from time to time.

Who should join us

• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university
• Admitted as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
• At least 4 to 6 years post qualification experience as an in-house legal counsel and private practice lawyer
• Significant experience in contract and commercial contracts drafting and negotiation
• Good understanding of competition law, privacy law, consumer protection law (including e-commerce regulatory requirements), the Financial Services Act 2013, as well as Bank Negara Malaysia's regulations and guidelines applicable to the Company's business.
• Experience in intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright and brand protection, as well as negotiating and managing IP licensing, sponsorship and brand collaboration arrangements with commercial partners.
• Prior in-house experience in FinTech or TMT industry is required
• Experience in M&A projects and ventures will also be an added advantage
