Position Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible of procurement operations for raw materials and packaging items required for DS/DP production. To support procurement functional leads to achieve its targets (monthly, quarterly and annually) in terms of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Working on monthly and quarter plans for raw materials and packaging items to meet production schedule
- Timely raising of purchase orders and forecasts to vendors and tracking for deliveries
- Adhering to SOP's (standard operating procedures) as defined by Quality Assurance in qualifying and developing new sources for raw materials and packaging items
- Establishing and maintaining cordial relationship with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Take active role in resolution of issues related to supplies to ensure zero production outages
- Co-ordinating with warehouse personnel and external suppliers as required for receipt and storage of raw materials and packaging items
- Timely escalations for unresolved items
- Work closely and co-ordinate with all cross-functional teams, finance, planning team, quality, production, warehouse and SAP/BRM team for smooth day-to-day procurement operations
- Work with functional leads to align on SLAs with internal teams with respect to deliveries/activities
- Tracking of following KPIs on monthly basis
- OTIF
- Cost Savings
- PR to PO Cycle Time
- Supply Defect Rate
Qualifications
- Bachelors/master's in business, Material Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Science/Engineering
- 6-8 years experience in procurement of direct materials in a manufacturing unit
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare related industry would be a plus (added advantage)
