Our business scope encompasses the distribution of New Energy Vehicles, provision of EV charging solutions, electronic parts and mobility solutions, finance and insurance services, retailing of accessories and merchandise, monitoring data services for customers as well as the latest technology in EV design and manufacturing.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement processes (Direct & Indirect), including RFQ issuance, Purchase Order creation, supplier appointment, and delivery of goods and services.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers across departments (IT, Marketing, After Sales, Charging), negotiating favourable terms to enhance product quality and achieve cost savings (including 20% savings realized).
  • Manage localization projects for After Sales parts and oversee the development of smart and Proton e.MAS standard and optional accessories with local suppliers.
  • Support Contract Owners throughout the contract lifecyclefrom preparation, negotiation, and execution to renewalensuring compliance and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead vendor evaluation and selection to ensure alignment with technical and commercial requirements while strengthening competitive advantage.
  • Draft, review, and execute procurement contracts with a focus on risk mitigation and securing optimal commercial terms, especially for technology-related acquisitions.
  • Improve procurement workflows by implementing digital tools and automating manual processes to enhance efficiency and reduce purchase-to-delivery timelines.
  • Drive contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure supply consistency, optimize cost structures, and elevate service and performance levels.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate submissions based on commercial and technical criteria, and lead negotiation processes to secure competitive pricing.
  • Support expediting activities and ensure timely delivery through proactive engagement with internal stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of procurement experience, preferably within the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
  • Proven experience managing both direct and indirect procurement with strong supplier relationship management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, tender processes, sourcing strategies, and procurement best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and suppliers.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with localization and supplier development projects, particularly within the automotive aftermarket environment.
  • Proficient in procurement systems/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
