Job Brief:

The Assistant Manager, Talent & Development Partner acts as a strategic advisor and enabler to business functions, driving initiatives that strengthen talent pipelines, enhance leadership capability, and foster a culture of continuous learning. The role bridges Talent Management and Learning & Development to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talents aligned with business priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

Talent Management

  • Partner with functional leaders to identify critical roles and build succession plans.
  • Facilitate talent reviews and calibration sessions to assess readiness and potential.
  • Drive Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for high-potential employees and critical talent.
  • Monitor talent movement and retention risks; propose interventions.
  • Support capability mapping for future business needs.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for talent reviews and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate logistics for talent review meetings and calibration sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with talent processes and documentation standards.

Learning & Development

  • Conduct learning needs analysis for assigned functions
  • Design and deliver targeted learning interventions
  • Curate learning pathways leveraging digital platforms and blended learning.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and impact on performance.
  • Manage LMS administration (course setup, enrolment, tracking, reporting).
  • Coordinate training logistics (venue, enrolments, materials, vendor management).
  • Monitor completion of mandatory compliance training and follow up on gaps
  • Collect and analyse feedback from learning programs; prepare evaluation reports.
  • Manage and execute HRDF grant and claim applications, ensuring compliance and optimal fund utilization

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent and learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align initiatives with overall people strategy.
  • Influence leaders to prioritize development and performance conversations.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development and/or Talent Management, preferably within FinTech, technology, or fast-paced digital environments.
  • Attributes: Proactive, energetic, positive, and creative with a strong growth mindset.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English and Malay; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and deliver engaging presentations
  • Work Style: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of FinTech trends, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance in financial services is an advantage.
