Position Overview
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Southwestern University invites applications for a part-time Instructor/Assistant Professor to teach three undergraduate biochemistry courses during the 2026-2027 academic year:
- Fall Semester: Principles of Biochemistry
- Spring Semester: Biochemistry II (Metabolism)
- Spring Semester: Special Topics in Biochemistry
We seek candidates who are committed to high-quality undergraduate teaching and who can engage students in learning environments that support student success.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a Biological Science
- 18 graduate hours in Biochemistry, Chemistry or a Biological Science

The salary for this position is $18,000 for individuals with the terminal degree in-hand by August 1 (Assistant Professor) or $17,100 for individuals with the Master's degree in-hand by August 1 (Instructor). This is a non-benefitted position.
