Job Description

Your mission and job responsibilities:

  1. AIS deposits strategy: Work closely with supervisor in the collaboration with CEO, Grp Chief Business & Transaction Banking Officer, Grp Chief Corporate & Institutional Banking Officer, Grp Chief Consumer Banking Officer, Grp Chief Financial Markets Officer and SVP Strategy, on development of deposits strategy to achieve AIS deposit business goals (covering retail, SME and Corporate & Commercial) defining:

  4. Execution model and timelines
  5. Key account planning: Responsible for the development of growth plans for AIS own key corporate clientele covering deposits, transaction banking and (together with RM Business Banking) financing. Regular updating of key account plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness in supporting business goals/strategies. Identify, develop, define, negotiate and acquire business opportunities in the Consumer, SME, Commercial and Corporate sectors, including but not limited to setting-up specific business or product programs specific to this sector.
  6. Marketing Plan: Handle execution of marketing activities for AIS deposit products and transaction banking offerings (including corporate online banking, cash management, BizSmart) in support of overall goals and deposit strategies. Increase sales acquisition through development and launch of new deposit products and campaigns.
  7. Prioritize and craft tactical responses to relevant ongoing market developments in order to preserve key clientele relationships and enhance further business development opportunities.
  8. Relationship management: Nurture positive and fruitful rapport with identified internal and external stakeholders via regular formal and informal engagements, dialogues and collaborations. Avail regular, round-the-clock communication channels for the stakeholders. Attend to all needs, requirements, and requests by the stakeholders. Ensure issues raised by clients are resolved expeditiously and fed back to the client accordingly. Responsible for delivering consistent growth in client value on a year-on-year basis. Ensure all AIS new key relationships are institutionalized via formal processes (buddy system, account rotations, etc.)
  9. Market intelligence: Be aware of market developments, market trend relevant to the deposit business propositions. Furnish input to product advisory and sales channel.
  10. Business performance management: Support supervisor to monitor and provide transparent feedback on deposit business performance to CEO and Board. Provide call reports to CEO on all marketing visits, with clear and doable actions to support further business growth.
  11. Ensure all reports due to management are submitted with accurate information and in a timely manner. Conduct post-campaign analysis for all marketing programs launched and document key learning points for improvement in subsequent program rollouts. Continue to improve existing processes with a view towards improving cost, efficiency and customer delight.
  12. Campaign: Collaborate with supervisor, respective line of business team and AIS marketing to design and rollout deposit campaign for retail and wholesale segments. Provide leads and feedback on campaign and marketing communication opportunities.
  13. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide helpline for internal and external customers. Maintain good communication with sales teams and channels.
  14. Others: Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1 Knowledge

  • Strong grasp of theory and application of Islamic deposit structures applied in the market
  • BNM rules and regulations on deposits

2 Experience

  • Minimum 6 years experience in banking industry, with 3 years in deposits role,
  • Experience in marketing to senior government and corporate personnel

3 Skills

  • Technical: (i) Deposits/Transaction banking solutioning and proposition crafting. (ii) Deposit portfolio analysis.
  • Soft: (i) Persuasion. (ii) Negotiation. (iii) Consensus-building. (iv) Constructive empathy.
