About the Role

. Lead the overall Agency Activation strategy to strengthen agency engagement and drive sales productivity across regions.

. Partner strategically with Marketing, Product, and Sales Heads to shape proposition positioning, campaign direction, and activation frameworks that align with business growth priorities.

. Translate corporate business objectives into actionable activation programs and ensure effective execution at national and regional levels, delivering sustainable sales uplift and agency participation.

. Champion data-driven decision-making by analyzing campaign performance, agent engagement metrics, and market trends to refine activation approaches and optimize ROI.

. The Associate Director is required to manage the Agency Activation team to ensure smooth activation activities and achieve their intended targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the design and execution of national-level activation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy, key product priorities, and sales targets.
  • Responsible for on-going engagement with key stakeholders i.e. distribution channels & life planners to gather product feedback, understand their needs, as well as plan and execute the necessary actions to support the product/ campaign buy-in.
  • Plan, design [proposition, copy write and art work], and monitor closely a timely roll-out of the agreed sales tools [iCari materials, Placemat, Poster, AD Buzz] to support the identified product(s) or campaign(s). Ensure the understanding and better buy-in from the distributors on the sales tools developed.
  • Work with the respective Product & Proposition Team Lead to enhance the existing marketing materials or the sales tools as needed to improve the effectiveness of the materials.
  • Responsible (with support from the respective Product & Proposition Team Lead) to gather market intelligence, perform product competitive analysis, design the product competitiveness materials and share it with the distribution teams to help support sales.
  • Provide ideas/inputs pertaining to products, product concepts, market trends, for new products/product enhancements consideration.
  • Monitor activation outcomes through data analytics and insights, identifying levers to accelerate adoption, conversion, and persistency across agency channels.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional directors, sales heads, and key distribution leaders to ensure consistent on-ground activation support and execution excellence.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead a strong and diverse team with different backgrounds and skillsets, give them clear guidance, and motivate them.
  • Implement a structured approach to work management. Set up processes for the team to effectively manage work, and achieve targets
  • Upskill the team to understand different aspects of agency activation to ensure familiarity.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Build strong relationships and constantly align with our colleagues in the distribution teams on initiatives to drive better outcomes from our distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and within the team - agency distribution, partnership distribution, corporate solutions, customer propositions, nurturing, app development, tech, actuarial, risk & compliance, policy owner service etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Education - Bachelor Degree in any discipline.
  • Experience - Preferably with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in the insurance industry.
  • Other skills - Strong presentation skill and interpersonal skill Results-oriented Good command (in written and spoken) of English, Bahasa Malaysia and while Mandarin or Tamil are optional Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical skills & business acumen Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects Confident, proactive and good organizational skills
