Associate Director, Funding & Financing

Cagamas is seeking a high-calibre and driven professional to join our Treasury & Markets division as an Associate Director, Funding & Financing. This role is pivotal in driving the organisation's funding strategy by executing debt capital market transactions, engaging global investors, and optimising funding costs to support sustainable business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Drive the execution of funding strategies aligned with Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) objectives and overall balance sheet management
2. Lead and manage end-to-end debt issuance activities, including structuring, syndication, and distribution across domestic and international markets
3. Perform market intelligence, pricing analysis, and investor sentiment assessment to optimise funding efficiency
4. Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks, including MTN and EMTN programme requirements
5. Develop and strengthen relationships with banks, institutional investors, and market participants to expand funding channels
6. Support investor relations initiatives, including roadshows, investor presentations, and market updates
7. Provide timely transaction updates, insights, and reporting to senior management and the Board
8. Monitor the issuance and funding documentation process prepared by Treasury Operation & Administration by tracking progress against key process datelines, ensuring timely completion at each stage of the documentation deal cycle

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Debt Capital Markets, or related functions
3. Strong understanding of funding instruments, debt capital markets, and treasury products
4. Proven analytical mindset with sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
5. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and investors
6. Experience in structuring, sales, or dealing within financial markets will be an added advantage
7. Possession of a PPKM licence is preferred
