Reporting to the Head of Consolidation & Policies, Financial Accounting & Reporting, the Associate (Enterprise Reporting/Policies) is vital to the financial team's operations, contributing to accurate financial reporting and strategic support. This role involves hands-on preparation of reports, data analysis, and collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and roll out group accounting policies, standard operating procedures and control frameworks to strengthen governance and ensure compliance across the Yinson Production Group.
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness of accounting policies, addressing gaps and driving continuous improvements in internal controls and accounting processes.
- Prepare month-end journal vouchers, financial statements, and analyses, with a focus on Enterprise Reporting—a Yinson Production–specific accounting and reporting framework covering Operating Lease, Proportional Consolidation and Cash-basis recognition—ensuring data integrity, consistency, and alignment with management requirements.
- Support timely month-end closes and reporting to stakeholders, including budget forecasts and board papers with accounting insights.
- Collaborate with group teams to gather data for consolidations and ensure consistent financial reporting.
- Assist in audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance efforts.
- Contribute to process improvements and innovations in financial systems (e.g., IFS), identifying automation opportunities for efficiency.
- Participate in special finance projects, adapting to evolving needs with a hands-on approach.
- Perform ad hoc matters arising and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 7 years of work experience in financial accounting and reporting with a multinational organisation or Big 4 environments; experience in the infrastructure and/or offshore oil and gas space is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and complex accounting matters.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; capable of handling complex data and crafting impactful presentations.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to produce well-structured written materials.
- A systematic approach to solve complex problems and solution-oriented thinking with a high attention to detail and big picture view.
- A high degree of self-motivation, ambitious and hands-on, with an entrepreneurial mindset; a good team player with the ability to engage with people and deliver within tight deadlines and in a fast-paced, international environment.
- A good degree in accounting, business administration, finance or equivalent from a recognised university and relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
