Associate Recruiter (Maternity Cover) - Batu Kawan, Penang

Location: Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Penang

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH

Contract: Maternity Cover | November 2026 – February 2027

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Korn Ferry RPO team, supporting a global leader in the semiconductor equipment and advanced manufacturing industry, based at Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Penang.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Associate Recruiter who is passionate about recruitment and enjoys identifying and engaging talent.

In this role, you will work closely with our recruitment team to build strong candidate pipelines, with a key focus on candidate sourcing and engagement. You will also support recruitment coordination activities throughout the hiring process.

This opportunity is open to fresh graduates who are keen to kick-start their career in Talent Acquisition. Candidates with previous recruitment, sourcing or internship experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source and identify suitable candidates through job portals, databases, social media and other recruitment channels.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and upcoming hiring requirements.
• Support recruitment primarily for Direct Labour (DL) positions within a manufacturing environment.
• Engage and communicate with prospective candidates to understand their experience, availability and interest in opportunities.
• Work closely with Recruiters to understand hiring requirements and align sourcing activities with recruitment priorities.
• Conduct candidate searches using different sourcing techniques, including keyword and Boolean searches.
• Support the posting and management of job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
• Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Assist with interview scheduling, candidate documentation, pre-employment requirements and onboarding coordination.
• Provide candidates with a positive and professional experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Collaborate with the wider recruitment team and share market insights, candidate feedback and sourcing ideas.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong interest in developing a career within Recruitment and Talent Acquisition.
• Candidates with previous recruitment, sourcing or HR internship experience will have an advantage.
• Previous exposure to sourcing or recruiting Direct Labour (DL), manufacturing or production-based positions would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Resourceful and confident in searching for and engaging potential candidates.
• Familiarity with job portals, LinkedIn or other candidate sourcing platforms would be an advantage.
• Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple recruitment activities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Working arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Batu Kawan and 1 day working from home.
