Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for maintaining outsourced application systems that have moved beyond the development stage, ensuring that the Company's systems operate smoothly on a daily basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Project Management & Service Management on outsourced systems:

  • Participate in the project and development of the systems.
  • To provide support and implement change requests for outsourced systems to meet users requirements.
  • Assist project management to track the project milestones and deliverables of the project. Track and follow up on the issues raised during the project phase and ensure all issues are being addressed promptly.
  • Ensure adequate education and knowledge transfer to business users for outsourced systems applications.
  • Understanding/conducting user requirements and translate into system requirement document.
  • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems.
  • To follow up closely with vendors for temporary workaround as well as permanent resolution, drawing up, supervising and documenting testing schedules for complete systems.
  • Planning and working flexibly to deadlines.
  • Providing training and user manuals to users of a new system.

Problem Solving & Issues Tracking on Outsourced systems

  • To provide first-level support for problem solving & issue-tracking for outsourced systems.
  • Identify and tracking of issues reported for outsourced systems and liaising with users on daily BAU.
  • Analyzing the existing systems and Identify risk that may directly impact to the outsourced systems as well as to business users to control and mitigate the risk to the systems.
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Supporting users on change control and system updates.
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

Rules & Regulations and Policies & Procedures Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies & guidelines and all relevant regulations.

Staff Development and Engagement

  • Monitor staff performance, development plan, discipline and performance matters/issues.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior working experience in financial institutions is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within a fast‑paced financial industry environment.
  • Well versed in technologies supporting various investment platform channels.
  • Experience in the stock broking industry is an advantage.
