Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support Trade Finance system implementation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and business process improvements.

This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in building a career in Business Analysis, System Implementation, or Transaction Banking. Candidates with relevant UAT, business analysis, trade operations, or banking experience are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in the field are also welcome.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & System Implementation

• Support the end-to-end delivery of Trade Finance system enhancement and implementation projects.
• Assist in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
• Review functional specifications and ensure alignment with business requirements.

2. UAT Planning & Execution

• Prepare UAT scenarios, test scripts, and test data based on business and operational workflows.
• Execute UAT and validate system functionality against expected business requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Ensure system functionality aligns with business rules and applicable regulatory requirements.

3. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Trade Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams.
• Support discussions to clarify business requirements, system functionality, and workflow requirements.

4. System & Application Support

• Provide support for system-related issues and user queries.
• Investigate reported issues and coordinate with relevant technical teams for resolution.
• Monitor issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.

5. Continuous Improvement & System Enhancements

• Gather user feedback and identify opportunities to improve system functionality and operational processes.
• Assist in evaluating and prioritising system enhancement requests.
• Support the implementation of process and system improvements.

6. Documentation & Governance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date business requirements, SOPs, process flows, and system documentation.
• Support documentation and governance activities related to Trade Finance processes and transactions.
• Ensure relevant documentation is maintained in accordance with business and regulatory requirements.

7. Training & User Enablement

• Support user training and briefing sessions for new system features and enhancements.
• Prepare user guides, FAQs, and other reference materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.

Experience

• 0–8 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, UAT, System Implementation, Application Support, Trade Operations, Banking, or related areas.
• Experience or internship exposure in UAT, Business Analysis, or Trade Operations is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in Business Analysis, system implementation, or banking technology are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good understanding of business processes and system functionality.
• Basic knowledge of Trade Finance products and processes, such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and Collections, is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• Strong teamwork and self-initiative.

Added Advantage

Candidates with the following qualifications or experience will have an added advantage:

• Hands-on experience or internship exposure in UAT, Business Analysis, or Trade Operations.
• Familiarity with Trade Finance products, processes, or Transaction Banking operations.
• Experience in requirements gathering, test case preparation, defect tracking, or system implementation.
• Strong analytical and documentation capabilities.
• Experience working with business users and technical teams.
• Knowledge of banking systems or financial services operations.
