Business Analyst

Pre-requisites:

·       Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance experience.

·       Fusion Trade Innovation System knowledge is essential.

·       Analyse and respond to L2 Customer Services cases

·       Analyse and respond to L3 Engineering Fix team escalations – typically complex issues

·       Deliver/attend customer/prospect workshops

·       Deliver demos of new and existing functionality to clients

Support during Sprint Development (may need to support more than one sprint and group of developers in parallel)

·       Research

·       Write/Review Business requirements

·       Create epics and associated stories

·       Grooming of epics and stories

o  Write stories using Agile terminology

o  Define acceptance criteria

·       Support detailed design work

o  Screen design

o  Technical documentation e.g. database definition/service XML definitions

o  Report layouts

·       Project Orchestration (meetings, Jira admin etc.)

·       Write/review User documentation

·       Write/review Release Notes and defect descriptions

·       Produce Model bank configuration (CSV/CMT)

·       Prepare training materials for knowledge transfer

·       Deliver knowledge transfer training

·       Deliver sessions to QA/TW

·       Estimating/Sizing of epics and stories

·       Demo of Release or Epic level functionality

·       Support Go to market activities

·       Contribute to Release retrospectives

Skills appropriate to role

·       Analyse ad-hoc queries from developers

·       Developer demos to BA of completed functionality

·       Attend scrums

·       Attend and contribute to Sprint planning

·       Prepare overview of new functionality for sprint (minimal)

·       Attend end of Sprint demo

·       Attend Sprint retrospectives

·       Defect analysis during development

·       Answer queries from QA

·       Set up overnight build systems with relevant data

·       Ad hoc testing

·       Raise, test and close defects

·       Trade finance knowledge (L/Cs, Collections, Guarantees, Financing etc.)

·       SWIFT messaging – familiarity with SWIFT 1, 2, 4, 7 and n group messages

·       Financial Supply Chain Management knowledge (preferred)

·       Familiarity and/or use of Trade Innovation or other Trade Finance systems (preferred)

·       ISO 20022 and EDIFACT (optional)
