Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Functional Consultant to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong business process knowledge, hands-on functional expertise, and the ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis
- Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes across multiple domains, including Banking, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, and Learning & Development (L&D)
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical solutions
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, solution design, process reengineering, and system optimization
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and JAD sessions with business stakeholders
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
- Functional Specification Documents (FSD)
- Use Cases and User Stories
- Ensure full end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing and deployment
Solution Implementation & Delivery
- Support system configuration, deployment, data migration, and integration mapping
- Lead and support UAT, functional testing, and defect resolution
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
Project & Delivery Support
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables using Microsoft Project (Gantt charts)
- Track project milestones, risks, issues, and change requests
- Work within Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models, collaborating closely with development and QA teams
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Engage effectively with C-level executives, business users, and technical teams
- Manage expectations, resolve issues, and build consensus
- Demonstrate strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
Process Modeling & Documentation
- Create As-Is and To-Be process flows, system diagrams, and UML diagrams
- Use tools such as Visio and Draw.io to document business and system interactions
Tools & Collaboration
- Prepare professional documentation and presentations using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Deliver executive-level and client-facing presentations
- Work in Agile environments using tools such as Trello and Azure DevOps
- Coach and mentor junior consultants as needed
Requirements & Experience
- 35 years of experience in a vendor, system integrator, or consulting environment
- Exposure to multiple clients, industries, and enterprise system implementations
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
