As we continue our next stage of growth, we are looking for driven Business Development Executives to help accelerate our expansion in Malaysia. This is not a market-entry role, it is a growth role focused on winning new accounts, building market share, and scaling an already proven brand. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive ByteHR's commercial success in Malaysia.

Responsibilities
- Own new business sales in Malaysia, with a clear focus on closing deals and winning new client accounts.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and sales managers to execute the growth plan and exceed revenue targets.
- Build, manage, and progress a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting through negotiation to signed contracts.
- Drive lead generation through outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships, networking, and self-sourced opportunities.
- Conduct high-impact product demonstrations, discovery calls, and requirement gathering sessions with prospective clients.
- Build strong relationships with users, decision-makers, HR leaders, and management teams across target companies.
- Represent ByteHR at industry events, networking sessions, and business communities to generate opportunities and strengthen brand presence.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline updates for management review.
- Develop and refine sales strategies with leadership based on market feedback, conversion data, and competitive trends.
- Conduct market research to identify expansion opportunities, competitor movements, and high-potential industries.
- Work closely with marketing to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
- Partner with onboarding, customer success, and product teams to ensure smooth handover and excellent client experience after close.
- Take ownership of monthly and quarterly revenue targets, with accountability for results rather than activity alone.
Skills & Experience - What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum 3 years of proven success in business development, B2B sales, account acquisition, or consultative selling within SaaS, HRTech, or technology industries.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and new business targets.
- Strong hunter mindset with confidence in prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new accounts.
- Experience selling to decision-makers such as HR leaders, founders, finance teams, and senior management is an advantage.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership, particularly the CEO, to execute growth strategies and unlock new market opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay. Mandarin is a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to conduct compelling demos and business conversations.
- Commercially minded with the ability to understand customer pain points and position solutions that deliver value.
- Resilient, proactive, and confident in handling objections, navigating long sales cycles, and maintaining momentum.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to create trust and develop long-term client partnerships.
- Highly organized with strong pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-up discipline.
- Ability to work effectively across sales, marketing, onboarding, and product teams in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot is an advantage.
- Prior experience in HR software, payroll, workforce management, or B2B software sales is highly preferred.
