Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a background in design consultancy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure & building projects. The role involves leading design initiatives, managing project teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize advanced design software and tools to create innovative solutions.
- Review and approve design calculations and technical documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for design-related matters and statutory application & approval.
- Understand design requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Present design proposals and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative working environment within the project team.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate civil designs with architectural and MEP systems.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design deliverables to maintain high-quality standards.
- Implement quality control processes to minimize errors and omissions.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with design solutions.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address technical, schedule, and budget risks.
- Proactively communicate risks to project stakeholders and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering design.
- Participate in professional development activities and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of design methodologies and tools.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure and building
- projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
