Role Overview
The Executive, Business Development plays a key role in supporting the Commercial Division in achieving revenue targets and driving business growth. This role focuses on developing and executing marketing strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within the gateway cargo segment.
The position requires strong market awareness, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate customer needs into effective logistics solutions aligned with PTP's service offerings.

Primary Position Objective
To support the Commercial and Business Development team in achieving annual business targets by developing customer-centric strategies, enhancing service offerings, and driving sustainable growth in the gateway cargo segment.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Customer Relationship Management
- Manage and service key customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, requests, and complaints
- Provide timely updates on commercial, operational, and service-related matters
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance customer loyalty
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly in gateway cargo
- Conduct sales visits and engagement sessions with potential and existing clients
- Propose tailored logistics solutions based on customer requirements
- Support initiatives to grow PTP's market share and revenue
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research on industry trends, trade flows, and customer segments
- Maintain and update customer and stakeholder databases
- Analyze monthly statistics and performance data to support decision-making
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance business strategies
Marketing & Commercial Support
- Support development of marketing strategies and campaigns
- Assist in organizing and participating in roadshows, exhibitions, and promotional activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with operational capabilities
Project & Strategic Initiatives
- Assist in developing gateway cargo projects and rail service initiatives
- Support cross-functional collaboration for new business ventures
- Contribute to strategic planning and execution within the department
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare reports, statistics, and presentations as required by Management
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of market intelligence and customer data
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing, Shipping, Logistics, or Port-related industry
- Experience in B2B environment and customer engagement is preferred
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of logistics, port operations, and supply chain processes
- Strong understanding of market analysis and business development strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
