Business Development Executive - Sales & Marketing Role
Job Scope Overview
Primary Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets (FMCG, Consumer Pharma, Manufacturing, Logistics, 3PL/4PL, E-commerce)
- Generate qualified leads and build a robust sales pipeline
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations of Simplr's Distribution Management and Warehouse Management solutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers (C-level, Directors, VPs, Supply Chain Heads)
- Achieve sales targets and revenue goals
Marketing & Market Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the supply chain technology sector
- Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns, events, and promotional activities
- Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback
- Represent Simplr at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Account Management:
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations
- Coordinate with technical teams for solution demonstrations and proof of concepts
- Ensure smooth handover to implementation teams post-sale
Key Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS/technology solutions
- Understanding of supply chain, distribution, or warehouse management processes
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Ability to engage with senior-level executives
Target Customer Profile:
- Companies with US$50 Million+ revenue and above
- 100+ employees and above
- Distribution & Manufacturing - intensive industries
