About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth for our VMware, IT infrastructure, and BFSI solutions business in Malaysia.

This is a client-facing, revenue-owning role, responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding enterprise accounts, and driving end-to-end sales execution.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven sales professional with strong enterprise selling experience, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and closing complex deals within the BFSI and enterprise landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across VMware services, IT infrastructure solutions, and BFSI ITO offerings in Malaysia
  • Develop and execute new business strategies, focusing on enterprise and BFSI clients (banks, financial institutions, insurance)
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure, including solution positioning and commercial negotiation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level stakeholders, CIOs, IT Heads, and procurement teams
  • Leverage and expand existing client networks and partner ecosystems (distributors, SIs, data center providers)
  • Collaborate with technical teams to shape and deliver tailored, high-value solutions
  • Identify client challenges (e.g., legacy infrastructure, migration, cost optimisation, outsourcing) and position relevant services
  • Drive partner-led opportunities and strategic collaborations to scale market reach
  • Track market trends, competitor landscape, and BFSI industry developments to inform go-to-market strategy
  • Ensure strong post-sales engagement to support long-term account growth and repeat business

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of B2B sales experience in IT services, enterprise solutions, or infrastructure-related offerings
  • Proven track record in enterprise sales and deal closure, with the ability to independently drive revenue
  • Experience engaging BFSI clients or large enterprise accounts is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage longer sales cycles and complex solution selling
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a target-driven environment
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage for regional collaboration
  • Based in Malaysia with flexibility to travel as required

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling VMware, IT infrastructure, cloud, or outsourcing services
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystem sales (distributors, SIs, alliances)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, cloud certifications)
