Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager will focus on driving new business, managing and expanding relationships with large corporate clients, developing tailored training programs, and driving business development initiatives. The role requires identifying client needs, liaising with the program division and instructor pool, and secure new business and retain existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management and Program Development (60%)
a. Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in large corporate clients, understanding their training needs and business objectives.
b. Program Design: Identify and design customized training programs that align with client requirements, leveraging existing programs and collaborating with the program division and instructor pool.
c. Client Consultation: Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss their training needs, provide program updates, and gather feedback to improve service delivery.
d. Client On-boarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of training programs.
e. Client Retention: Develop and execute strategies to retain existing clients through exceptional service, ongoing engagement, and demonstrating the value of training programs.
Business Development and Sales Strategy (20%)
a. Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new business opportunities within the corporate sector, including potential clients and emerging trends in training and development.
b. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new corporate clients and expand business with existing clients, including preparing proposals, presentations, and tenders.
c. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs, adjusting strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership and Coordination (10%)
a. Team Management: Lead and mentor the team, setting clear goals, providing support, and facilitating professional development to enhance team performance.
b. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful planning, development, and delivery of training programs.
c. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure cohesive execution of business strategies and client service excellence.
Reporting, Compliance, and KPI Management (10%)
a. Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Commercial Strategy Lead, ensuring alignment with company goals and targets.
b. Regular Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports to the Commercial Strategy Lead on business development activities, client engagement, and program performance.
c. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all client interactions, program development, and business activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a senior business development or client management role, preferably within the training, education, or corporate sector.
