The Group specializes in the manufacturing and trading of daily household cleaning and cosmetic products. Our diverse product range consists of more than 1,000 items that fall under 12 distinct categories. Some of our prominent brands include Walch, Dynamo, arFUM, KA, Fab, fresh HY, NA, KHO and BLEACH.
This is a challenging role that will be a vital member of the executive team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and driving the financial performance of the company. The Chief Financial Officer has overall supervision of finance and accounts team holding accountability for the financial reporting, administrative, risk management, and guiding on investment strategies of the company to support the company's growth and success.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Monitor contract and organizational budget by leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate financial projections and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide accurate and timely financial information, reports, and analysis to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders. This includes working on monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, organizational revenue/expense reporting
- Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to guide strategic initiatives.
Capital Management:
- Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize the allocation of capital.
- Determines an adequate capital structure of the company and understand what should be the best debt-equity ratio mix for the company so that the company's funds are managed in the best possible manner, considering all factors like risk, liquidity, market conditions, etc.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management to ensure the company's financial stability and ability to meet obligations.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions and reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Strategic Financial Decision-Making:
- Collaborate with other executives to evaluate business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide financial insights to support effective decision-making in expanding product lines, entering new markets, and launching new initiatives.
Investor Relations:
- Maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Participate in investor communications, including earnings calls, presentations, and annual reports.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to team members.
To be successful in this role, you would need to have:-
- Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within the FMCG industry or a related consumer goods sector.
- Possessed recognized accountancy qualifications such as CFA, CA, CPA, MIA or any equivalent qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles (IFRIS), with excellent knowledge of corporate financial laws and best practices
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning, analysis, and execution.
- Having broad technical knowledge along with financial management and reporting, and with hands-on experience with credit control, risk management, investment, and cash flow forecasting.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with financial systems, ERP software, and advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines under pressure while being proactive, creative and having unquestionable integrity is expected from this role.
- A team player with excellent stakeholder management skill is required this role will be the key finance operations person of regional team.
- Will be required to travel regionally on business assignment as and when needed.
