The APAC CFO is responsible for leading the financial strategy, governance and performance management across Asia Pacific region. The role partners closely with regional leadership and Group Finance to drive sustainable financial and business growth, ensure strong financial discipline and support strategic decision-making. The incumbent will oversee financial planning, reporting, risk management, compliance and capital allocation while ensuring alignment with Group's financial strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the development and execution of all relevant practices, policies, and strategies.
- Provide the Executive team (Regional and Group) with financial advice and input on all aspects of company strategy, goals and objectives. Partner with various members of the Executive team as needed to address both tactical and strategic initiatives in the most cost-effective manner.
- Work closely with cross functional teams (i.e., Sales, Product Management, Product Development, Strategic Initiatives, Customer Support and other teams) to support business needs, improve APAC performance, strategic initiatives, market expansion and achieve ambitions.
- Provides margin calculation and guidance on deal pricing, cash flow management and working capital optimization.
- Manage the overall budgeting / forecasting processes, including effective input & challenge of all other departments regarding the development and performance, as well as effective monitoring of own department budget.
- Drive and support the implementation of transformation initiatives, process improvement and automation projects.
- Manage 3rd party vendor relations in the area of responsibilities (notably audit consultants).
- Responsible for month-end and year-end close as well as mid-year/year-end audit and oversight of tax filings. Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentor direct reports and staff and be a role model for the company. Build strong financial capabilities within the APAC finance team.
- Support and locally manage the financial optimization of the various entities.
Job Requirement:
- At least BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline. MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent is preferred.
- At least 15 + years of progressive finance leadership experience, with significant exposure to regional and multinational environments. Proven experience in managing multi-country finance operations across APAC.
- Strong background in financial planning & analysis, financial reporting and corporate finance including experience in driving financial strategy to support business growth and transformation.
- Prior experience in technology, fintech, payments is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen. Excellent in financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and executive level. Very strong communication skills and presentation skills.
- Must have high level of integrity, accountability and sound judgement.
