Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate and implement quantitative models including internal/external credit scoring models and advanced analytics solutions
• Leverage traditional statistical methods alongside advanced machine learning, segmentation, and optimization tools to drive strategy development
• Own the full model lifecycle—from data extraction, cleaning, and preprocessing to modelling, validation, UAT, deployment, and documentation
• Understand complex data ecosystems to perform robust data cleaning and processing for downstream analytics
• Build implementation code and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure smooth model integration
• Maintain rating system configurations and parameters, while conducting regular back-testing and performance monitoring
• Deliver credit consulting projects, conduct training workshops, and translate complex analytical findings for non-technical stakeholders, alongside maintaining internal models
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of data science and continuously learning new techniques and tools to improve data analysis and modelling capabilities
• Foster mutual learning across the team and collaborate on defining model development best practices
• Execute ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time

Role requirements:

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a degree bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science/ Data Analytics or related field). Master's degree is an additional advantage
• Strong data analytical skills, preferably in credit data.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and SAS for data analysis and processing
• Minimum 4-6 years experience in risk analytic/data analytic/ credit insight and consulting.
• Possess excellent listening, rationalization and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Bandar Sunway
