Role Overview
The
Data Solution Architect is the technical authority for our most complex data initiatives. Unlike a traditional sales role, your focus is on the
how : the rigorous technical design, the validation of architectural assumptions, and the hands-on execution of
Proof of Concepts (PoCs) . You are the primary driver of deep technical conversations, ensuring that the proposed solution is robust, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the customer's technical landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Level Technical Design: Architect end-to-end data ecosystems, focusing on Microsoft Fabric , Synapse, and OneLake integration. You define the flow from data ingestion to consumption.
- Hands-on Proof of Concepts (PoC): Lead the technical implementation of PoCs to prove the feasibility of the proposed solution. You will be responsible for building the plumbing that demonstrates value to the client.
- Technical Discovery & Consultation: Drive deep-dive technical workshops. You must be able to challenge existing client architectures and propose modernized, consolidated data lakehouse or warehouse patterns.
- Data Consolidation Strategy: Design complex migration and integration paths for fragmented data silos, ensuring data integrity and performance across the enterprise.
- Cross-Cloud Architecture: Design vendor-neutral or multi-cloud data strategies, including AWS (Glue, Redshift, Athena) and Azure, to ensure client flexibility.
- Technical Governance: Define the standards for data security, compliance (GDPR/Local regulations), and DevOps for Data (DataOps).

Advanced SQL, Python (PySpark), and PowerShell.
Alternative Clouds
Architecture experience with
AWS Data Stack or GCP BigQuery.
Integration
API-led connectivity, CDC (Change Data Capture), and real-time streaming (Kafka/Event Hubs).
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or Data Architecture, with at least 3 years in a customer-facing advisory role.
- The Technologist Mindset: You enjoy getting your hands dirty in the code/portal while simultaneously maintaining a high-level architectural view.
- Communication: Ability to command a room of Lead Developers and Enterprise Architects. You must be able to defend architectural choices with logic and best practices.
- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), or AWS Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred.
