Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support multiple database systems including MSSQL, DB2, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Sybase
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
Monitor database performance and conduct tuning and troubleshooting
Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
Conduct regular health checks and Disaster Recovery (DR) validation
Support platform administration and middleware clustering environments
Collaborate with stakeholders to address database-related requirements and issues
Maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with more than one database platform (e.g., MSSQL, DB2, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Sybase)
Solid understanding of system/platform administration
Experience with middleware clustering technologies
Proven expertise in performance tuning and issue resolution
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and DR processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage
Good technical documentation skills
