The Role
Are you passionate about keeping mission-critical databases running smoothly We're looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team on-site, supporting a client within the technology sector. In this role, you'll take ownership of MSSQL database environments, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across the business.
What You'll Do
• Administer and maintain MSSQL database environments
• Write and optimise T-SQL queries and scripts
• Perform regular backup and recovery procedures
• Conduct performance tuning to ensure database efficiency
• Troubleshoot database issues and resolve incidents promptly
• Implement and manage security and access control measures
• Support high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) setups
• Follow structured change management processes for database updates
What We're Looking For
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Database Administrator role
• Strong hands-on experience with MSSQL administration
• Proficiency in T-SQL
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and performance tuning practices
• Experience with security and access control best practices
• Familiarity with HA/DR concepts and change management procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
