Job Summary:
Responsible for serving as the dedicated liaison and strategic partner for the existing dealer network. This role is focused on driving retail sales volume by ensuring optimal operational efficiency, providing expert product and technical support, and maintaining robust commercial relationships. The Manager conducts regular site visits for advisory, manages all dealer inquiries related to stock, pricing, and logistics, and ensures the continuous support and growth of the channel partner ecosystem.
Key Focus Areas:
- Channel Partnership: Building and reinforcing strong, collaborative relationships with key dealer personnel and business owners.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinating internal resources (Sales Admin, Technical, Logistics) to guarantee seamless order processing and timely supply.
- Advisory & Support: Resolving commercial, technical, and logistical inquiries, and providing strategic advice for showroom optimization and product placement.
I. Comprehensive Dealer Support & Information Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all dealer inquiries, managing requests related to stock availability, TOTO product specifications, spare parts, accurate pricing, and efficient delivery scheduling.
- Coordinate and direct the Sales Administration team on end-to-end processing, including the execution of Sales Orders (SO), Delivery Instructions (DI), delivery arrangements, sales returns, service calls, product replacements, sample requests, and comprehensive stock checks.
- Resolve complex technical and operational inquiries from dealers (including spare parts, pricing, service calls, installation, and general technical issues), escalating to the Technical Team for expert consultation when internal resolution is not immediately possible.
- Proactively advise dealers on suitable TOTO products, utilizing current ex-stock and incoming shipment data, particularly for customer delivery requests scheduled within three months.
- Ensure dealer compliance and support by furnishing essential documentation, including product specification sheets, regulatory certificates, and SPAN certifications.
II. Strategic Dealer Relationship & Showroom Development
- Conduct regular on-site visits to designated Klang Valley dealers to focus on retail sales advisory, offering insights for showroom optimization, and reinforcing sales strategy.
- Conduct targeted on-site visits to designated Outstation dealers to provide strategic advisory for both project and retail sales channels.
- Actively build and maintain strong rapport with dealer sales personnel and business owners to foster a collaborative partnership.
- Identify and address current market challenges or dealer concerns to ensure product and service alignment.
- Communicate and reinforce company (WAKL) expectations regarding the effective promotion and sale of TOTO products.
- Provide timely and comprehensive updates to all dealers regarding the latest TOTO product information, model launches, and design innovations.
III. Dealer-Led Project Management & Execution
- Oversee and manage project inquiries originating from key dealers, acting as the central liaison and coordinating internally with the Project Team.
- Initiate and manage the project registration process, preparing and submitting the project proposal for management review and approval.
- Provide strategic market guidance to dealers regarding expected discount rates for project tenders.
- Liaise with management to secure special project pricing approval for large-scale opportunities.
- Maintain proactive monthly communication to track project status and ensure the timely arrangement of deliveries according to the agreed-upon schedule.
- Support dealer sales efforts by conducting presentations and providing technical support to developers, interior designers, and architects.
What we're looking for
1. Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of a Diploma qualification in any relevant field.
- Industry Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of proven working experience specifically within the Sanitary Wares (or related Building Materials / Construction) industry is required.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for effective communication with all stakeholders.
2. Skills & Tools
- Communication & Negotiation: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation abilities to secure high-value contracts.
- Technical Proficiency: Competency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation purposes.
