Design Engineer

The Engineer's role involves creating equipment layout drawings for SGB. These drawings are essential for our customers to grasp the proper assembly process and safe utilization of the equipment as intended. It's crucial for the Engineer to uphold a conscientious approach to both personal safety and the safety of others, in full alignment with SGB's legislative guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• To provide the design of formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions using SGB products in accordance with SGB guidelines and practices, as well in accordance with Malaysian and Singaporean standards whilst maintaining efficient and effective use of time.
• Provide technical advice on all SGB products to customers and associates SGB employees.
• Clear, comprehensive, adequate, efficient production of structural calculations
• All design work, drawings, quants and calculations must be produced with minimal errors. Preliminary designs can be issued without further checks and are the responsibility of the senior designer. Construction status drawings must be checked by another senior designer or above.
• Ensure work is carried out safely and following workplace health and safety, quality rules and country regulations.
• Visit clients with sales team to support in technical matters.
• Site visits whenever required.
• Assist in the management of the design office in the absence of design manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have Degree in Construction / Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering
• 1 year site experience ( Optional )
• Robot / RSTAB Training
• Intermediate / advanced AutoCAD skills
• Revit knowledge ( Optional )

• Must be able to work independently and under time constraints.
• Occasional visits to other offices/locations within the Region
