Job Summary: The
Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for driving the hotel's overall communication and marketing strategy to strengthen brand presence, generate demand, and support commercial goals. The role leads all content, digital marketing, social media, and PR efforts, serves as the hotel's spokesperson, manages media relations and online reputation, and ensures consistent brand messaging across all platforms while collaborating closely with commercial and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all communication and marketing strategies to promotes the hotel's brand presence, ensure consistent messaging, and act as the primary spokesperson.
- Develop and execute the commercial marketing plan with the DOSM, driving demand across Rooms, F&B, Spa, and MICE through integrated campaigns and content.
- Oversee content creation and digital storytelling, including social media, website updates, photography/video production, and marketing collateral.
- Manage media and public relations, building strong relationships with media and influencers, handling press releases, speeches, crisis communication, and reputation management.
- Drive digital marketing performance by partnering with regional teams to optimize paid and organic channels, ensure traffic growth, and monitor analytics and guest reviews.
- Ensure brand consistency and quality, overseeing photoshoots, promotional materials, and the hotel's presence across all internal and external platforms.
- Support leadership through insights and collaboration, actively participating in revenue and marketing meetings and providing training or guidance to team members.
- Uphold governance, sustainability, and operational standards, ensuring compliance with guidelines, CSR initiatives, safety protocols, and corporate policies.
Skills And Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
- At least 3 years similar working experience in similar role in international hotel brand
- Proficiency in English, in both oral and written.
- Strong track record in brand campaigns and media engagement
- Experience in hospitality / lifestyle / service industry preferred
- Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
