Role Description This Engineering Intern role is an on-site position based in Penang, Malaysia. The intern will support engineering staff in designing, assembling, and testing leak test systems and automation assemblies, including assisting with system integration, calibration, and troubleshooting. Day-to-day tasks may include preparing technical documentation, updating drawings, supporting data collection and analysis, and participating in equipment setup and functional testing at the workshop or customer sites. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn to follow safety standards and quality procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is an internship role intended to provide practical engineering experience and exposure to industrial automation and test systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering fields.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design, electrical circuits, or mechatronic systems, and strong interest in automation and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, with attention to detail in documentation.
• Familiarity with common engineering tools and software (e.g., CAD, basic MS Office, measurement tools) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a workshop and on-site customer settings.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines, quality procedures, and company policies.
• Availability to work on-site in Penang, Malaysia for the full internship duration.
