Job Description
Brief Summary
Join a dynamic team as an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer Associate Manager, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on workplace safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the WSH Officer registered with the Ministry of Manpower, ensuring adherence to the Workplace Safety and Health Act and applicable local laws. Conduct and lead WSH Committee meetings, perform workplace inspections, and carry out incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as required. Oversee contractor EHS management, reviewing Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and managing EHS-related documentation. Ensure compliance with statutory EHS reporting requirements and facilitate regulatory audits and inspections. Regularly review and update applicable EHS legal requirements, aligning them with site practices. Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with local legislation and corporate EHS frameworks. Support waste tracking and reporting, ensuring alignment with Zero Waste to Landfill certification requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure effective waste segregation and recycling practices. Prepare documentation for internal and external EHS audits and customer assessments. Coordinate collection and submission of EHS performance data to corporate stakeholders. Develop and deliver EHS training programs to enhance employee and contractor competency and awareness. Promote a strong EHS culture and support continuous improvement of safety and environmental standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization's health, safety, and environmental objectives.
Requirements
- WSH Officer certification registered with the Ministry of Manpower (mandatory). Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EHS roles within manufacturing, logistics, or technology-related industries. Familiarity with RBA standards, UL2799 requirements, and local environmental regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Detail-oriented with capacity to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
