Job Description

Role Overview

The Finance Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end financial processes for assigned entities, ensuring timely reporting, compliance, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Closing, Reporting & Audit

  • Manage full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for assigned entities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate submission of quarterly forecasts to Group Finance and monthly cash flow projections to Group Treasury.
  • Liaise with FSSC to resolve discrepancies in audit schedules and reconciliations.
  • Act as key contact for auditors, addressing queries and supporting audit completion.
  • Review selected areas such as deferred tax and technical accounting treatments
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely collections and payments.

B. Corporate Tax

  • Review tax computations and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage preparation and submission of CP204 forecasts and tax filings.
  • To liaise with tax agent for any tax-related queries and resolve issues.
  • Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation.
  • Assist in managing tax audits and regulatory enquiries.

C. Operational Finance

  • Support and review annual business plans and budgets.
  • Review and approve financial documentation (e.g., invoices, CN/DN, funding requests).
  • Prepare analysis and working papers for dividend declarations.

D. Others

  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of MFRS and familiarity with Bursa requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Prior experience in Big 4, regulatory environment or listed company will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of JDE accounting system would be an added advantage.
