JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks that could affect the company's profitability and sustainability. This role involves monitoring risk exposures, supporting the development of risk policies, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in risk governance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and monitor foreign exchange exposure to ensure effective and efficient mitigation of currency fluctuations.
- Execute Board-approved foreign exchange management strategies to align operational activities with corporate risk objectives.
- Source and negotiate competitive pricing for foreign currency bookings and deals to optimize cost savings while adhering to the Company's policy and controls.
- Monitor MHB's overall credit risk exposure, including review and assessment of specific customer accounts and payment performance, to ensure early detection of potential credit issues.
- Track outstanding receivables and update daily collections from customers to support accurate cash management and timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
- Conduct requires committee meetings to provide management with visibility on credit performance and drive informed decision-making.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks arising from the Group's financial activities to ensure early detection and mitigation of potential exposures.
- Monitor and report key financial risk activities, indicators, and trends to support informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
- Provide quarterly financial risk reports and updates to the Risk Department to ensure timely escalation and alignment with enterprise risk oversight.
- Ensure full compliance with the Group's Corporate Financial Policy to uphold financial governance and regulatory alignment across the organization.
- Assess compliance status and identify gaps in the Corporate Financial Policy to facilitate timely reporting and corrective actions by relevant stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial risk management policies, frameworks, and internal controls to strengthen the Group's overall financial risk resilience and operational integrity.
- Administer and review credit risk assessments conducted by Business Units/Subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with PETRONAS Credit Risk Registration System (PCRRS) requirements.
- Propose appropriate securities and payment terms during the bidding stage to mitigate credit exposure and enhance the Group's competitiveness in project acquisition.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly risk register, reports and dashboards for management and board's review to maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare quarterly and yearly reports for regulatory body i.e Bank Negara to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external auditors on the annual audit functions through an information-verification process in order to facilitate the preparation of MHB Group's audited financial statements and subsidiaries, associated companies and jointly controlled entities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in corporate finance, analysis and financial modelling.
