Job Description
Job Purpose
This role has the overall responsibility for the management and coordination of all site-based preventive and breakdown maintenance programs ensuring the facility remains in an operational and compliant state
Key areas of duties include but are not limited to:
Office Maintenance
Workshop Maintenance
Remote base/s Maintenance
Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing building Management, mechanical, electrical, fire, security and environmental monitoring systems.
- Responsible for coordinating and communicating with maintenance vendors ranging from Cleaning, ad hoc repairs to scheduled/recurring maintenance of both building and associated infrastructure (Cranes, Racks, etc.)
- Diagnose/attend to breakdowns and perform ad hoc repairs within a reasonable degree.
- Coordinate with Landlord when needed for repairs that fall within the landlord’s responsibility.
- Identify and implement facility improvement opportunities that will facilitate Safety or efficiency gains.
- Make runs to hardware store to procure needed parts or spares for repairs.
- Maintain and supervise facility vendor support base to ensure consistency and completeness of procured services.
- Engagement with Procurement to ensure quoted works are within expected values.
- Engagement with HSE to ensure all Safety Documentation and regulations are followed.
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by the Facilities Manager
- Diploma/Certificate
- Electrical license highly desired though other relevant trades certification will be considered.
- Forklift and electronic work platform HRWL desired.
- Facilities management experience is highly desired
- Considerable industry experience, preferably in a building or property management environment.
- Experience working in a trades position highly desired (Mechanical fitter, Electrician, etc).
- Ability to function in a collaborative and collegial environment
- Demonstrated strong initiative, proactive and persuasive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills (telephone, written and verbal) and sound interpersonal skills
- Independent achiever who can work under minimal supervision within the boundaries set in the role.
