Key Job Accountabilities:
- Knowledgeable and Experienced in multiple phases of the Plexus product realization process which includes - Conceptualize, Design, Commercialize, Manufacture, Fulfill, Sustain.
- Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements independently without direction from mentors or functional management.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification.
- Participates in proposal development, with support, through the identification of project tasks, durations, interdependencies, risks, and assumptions
- Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement functional test solutions that satisfy the customer's product requirements.
- Development activities include test specification analysis, defining test specifications, test system/fixture hardware design, software development, and mechanical design (by engaging with mechanical vendors).
- Implementation activities include system integration, software coding and debugging, test system build support, installation, user training, and start-up support.
- Test performance characterization includes test coverage, programming/calibration functions, automation, repeatability, reliability, safety, ergonomics, and supportability.
- Be a strong technical contributor and strong technical mentor to mentor junior engineers to ensure the success of the Functional Test Projects and the Functional Test Team.
- Constantly provide Continuous Improvement and Growth to the Functional Test Team.
- Involvement in the business standpoint developing quotations for new functional test development project opportunities.
- Additional tasks to be assigned by the company from time to time.
