We're looking for a hands-on, commercially driven Finance Director, APAC Operations to build and lead operations finance across our Asia Pacific manufacturing footprint. This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to shape how finance partners with operations at scale. You will work side-by-side with regional leadership to drive performance, unlock efficiencies, and support rapid growth—while building the systems, processes, and team needed for the next stage of expansion. What You'll Do
- Act as the go-to finance leader for APAC Operations, partnering closely with plant leadership to drive cost efficiency, margin expansion, and operational performance
- Take full ownership of financial performance across multiple manufacturing sites, turning data into clear actions and results
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing regional finance team (15 FTEs)—developing talent, raising the bar, and creating future leaders
- Own the numbers: close, reporting, forecasting, and performance insights—bringing clarity and speed to decision-making
- Lead planning processes (budget, forecast, long-range) and ensure they are practical, forward-looking, and tied to execution
- Drive plant finance excellence, including costing, inventory management, and variance analysis that actually informs decisions on the floor
- Own and challenge the CAPEX pipeline—ensuring smart investments, clear ROI, and disciplined follow-through
- Unlock working capital improvements and drive a strong cash culture across operations
- Partner deeply with operations, supply chain, and procurement to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver measurable impact
- Lead process and systems improvements, including ERP (SAP) optimization—simplifying, standardizing, and scaling finance capabilities
- Put in place practical, effective controls that support growth while maintaining compliance (SOX, US GAAP)
- Identify risks early and act decisively to mitigate them
What You Bring
- 15+ years of experience in finance, with a strong foundation in manufacturing and plant operations
- Proven ability to lead in complex, multi-site environments and operate effectively in a matrix organization
- Deep expertise in FP&A, costing, and operational finance, with a strong bias for action
- Strong track record in CAPEX evaluation and investment decision-making
- Experience working across APAC in a fast-paced, multinational setting
- Exposure to transformation and restructuring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent); MBA a plus
