The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key strategic partner, leading the full spectrum of finance across planning, reporting, treasury, and governance. This is a high-impact role offering visibility across global operations and direct influence on business strategy, capital allocation, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Planning
- Lead group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Drive performance analysis, including variance and product profitability insights
- Partner closely with business leaders to optimise costs across procurement, production, and overheads
- Support investment decisions through scenario modelling and capex evaluation
Financial Reporting & Governance
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations across multiple jurisdictions (AP, AR, GL, closing)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements
- Manage external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, and regulators
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks
Treasury & Funding
- Develop and execute funding strategies across debt, grants, and potential equity raises
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support growth
- Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and FX risk management
Business Partnering & Growth
- Act as a strategic finance partner to operations, supply chain, and commercial teams
- Support M&A, joint ventures, and market entry initiatives through financial modelling and due diligence
- Engage closely with regional stakeholders, joint venture partners, and investors
Leadership & Transformation
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team (13–14 members)
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and ERP capabilities
- Champion digital and AI-driven transformation within the finance function
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA / ACCA / CFA preferred
- 12+ years of experience, including senior leadership exposure
- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or capital-intensive environments, specifically production/ plant experience a must
- Strong exposure to cross-border operations, ideally with China-related experience
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (essential for stakeholder management)
- Strong technical grounding in accounting standards (SFRS/IFRS), alongside commercial acumen
- Proven ability in financial modelling, strategic planning, and influencing senior stakeholders
